Several people were injured when a boat crashed into a submerged object in the Murray River this evening.
Emergency services were called to the river near Wall Flat, south of Mannum, just before 7pm on Saturday 28 August. Police, paramedics, CFS and SES members all worked together to safely remove the injured people from the ski boat.
Nine people, all aged in their 20s, were onboard at the time of the incident.
The driver of the boat sustained serious, but not life-threatening injuries, in the crash and was airlifted to the Royal Adelaide Hospital. The other people on the boat all sustained minor injuries and may be taken to the local Murray Bridge Hospital.
Police urge everyone on the water to use caution especially when travelling at night.
