No achievements in six years: Hiscutt’s startling admission

· Leonie Hiscutt unable to name any achievements after six years

· Why should voters reward Montgomery MLC with another six years?

· Hiscutt lauds failure Ferguson for doing a ‘wonderful job’ on health

Member for Montgomery Leonie Hiscutt cannot
point to one single achievement in her six years as the local member.

On this morning’s ABC radio debate – which Ms
Hiscutt had ample time to prepare for – Ms Hiscutt was unable to name one
achievement in her six years, aside from winning an election.

“Leonie Hiscutt has achieved nothing as the
member for Montgomery – she’s admitted it herself,” Labor Member for Braddon
Shane Broad said.

“If Leonie Hiscutt can’t name a single
achievement from the past six years, why should we give her six more?

“Tasmania is in the midst of a health crisis,
people are actually dying thanks to the Government’s failures – yet Ms Hiscutt
thinks Michael Ferguson is doing a ‘wonderful job’.

“Ms Hiscutt is completely out of touch with the
reality on the ground in Montgomery.

“Seven hundred apprenticeships have gone from
the Coast under the Liberals – what has Ms Hiscutt done to fight so that young
people can live and work on the Coast?

“Several local areas feature in the top 20
national youth unemployment hotspots.

“Leonie Hiscutt has admitted she has been
nothing more than a guaranteed Liberal vote for the past six years instead of
advocating for her community or coming up with anything of substance.

“Labor’s candidate Michelle Rippon is outworking Ms Hiscutt, doorknocking almost 10,000 homes since February. Ms Rippon is listening to the people of Montgomery about the real issues – jobs, health and education.”
