Celebrate the selflessness and kindness of our community and nominate an everyday hero for Hobsons Bay City Council’s annual Citizen and Young Citizen of the Year awards.

In a year that has tested our community resolve like no other, the importance of acknowledging the passionate, community-minded people of Hobsons Bay has never been greater.

The Citizen and Young Citizen of the Year awards shine a light on the people whose personality and spirit have helped preserve social connection and made a remarkable contribution to our city. It also gives the recipients the opportunity to raise awareness of their group or hard work.

If you believe someone deserves recognition, then nominate them now. The winners will be celebrated at Council’s Australia Day Citizenship Ceremony on 26 January 2021 at Williamstown Town Hall.

Nominees must be Australian Citizens who practice passionate and selfless community spirit in their life, work or study in Hobsons Bay. Nominees for the Young Citizen award must be 26 years or younger on January 26, 2021.

The period for nominations closes on 18 December 2020. Nominate online at www.hobsonsbay.vic.gov.au/citizenawards or pick up a hard copy nomination form at the Hobsons Bay Civic Centre or your local library.
