Applications for the Study NT International Student of the Year Award open today.
The Award recognises and celebrates international students studying in the Northern Territory who have made a positive impact to their local and fellow student communities while also excelling in their chosen field of study.
In 2021, more than 3,800 international students are enrolled to study with the Territory’s quality education and training providers, helping to make the Territory the multicultural and welcoming community that it is.
Last year’s winner, Manfred Mletsin from Estonia who has recently graduated with a Bachelor of Accounting from Charles Darwin University, has been advocating and supporting the international student community since he arrived in Darwin in 2014.
Together with fellow students, Manfred started Kindness Shake, a community and student led initiative launched during the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic to support international students and community members in need by providing meals and essential services.
All nominees as well as the overall winner are promoted locally, nationally and internationally and in addition to being named the Study NT International Student of the Year, the winning student will also be invited to join the Study NT Ambassador Program.
International students studying in the NT can be nominated by their education provider, or self-nominate.
