The NSW Electoral Commission has notified Council of a casual vacancy to be filled by a countback election, in accordance with Schedule 9A to the Local Government (General) Regulation 2021.
Eligible candidates who stood at the 2024 local government election and were not elected may apply to participate in the countback. Applications close at 12 noon on Thursday 7 August 2025.
If required, the countback election will be held at 10.00am on Tuesday 12 August 2025 at 231 Elizabeth Street, Sydney NSW 2000.
