Wentworth Shire
River Road will be closed to traffic and heavy vehicles for five weeks due to roadworks.
Commencing: Tuesday 9 June 2026
Location: River Road (Silver City Highway, Buronga to Link Road)
Detours will be in place:
Heavy Vehicles: detour via Silver City Highway.
Light Vehicles: access to River Road via Link Road and Silver City Highway.
Residents and businesses within the area will maintain access.
Wentworth Shire Council apologises for the inconvenience and thanks the community for their understanding and cooperation.
