NSW police charge five men over involvement in criminal activities

Five men, who have connections to outlaw motorcycle gangs (OMCG), have been charged following an investigation into the supply of prohibited drugs and firearms.

In June 2018, investigators from the Criminal Groups Squad’s Strike Force Raptor commenced an investigation into the supply of prohibited drugs and firearms across the state.

As part of their ongoing inquiries, Strike Force Raptor arrested a 25-year-old man at Riverstone Police Station about 8.30pm on Monday 9 December 2019.

Shortly after, Strike Force Raptor executed a search warrant at a unit on Lord Sheffield Circuit, Penrith, where investigators seized $5900 cash, mobile phones, and prescription medication.

The man, who is a former Finks OMCG member, was charged with supply prohibited drug (large commercial quantity).

He was refused bail and appeared at Blacktown Local Court, where he was formally refused bail to appear at the same court on Tuesday 18 February 2020.

About 2pm last Wednesday (11 December 2019), a 40-year-old man was arrested in the car park of a Silverwater facility.

Shortly after, Strike Force Raptor, assisted by the Public Order and Riot Squad, executed a search warrant at a unit on New South Head Road, Rose Bay, where they located mobile phones, 15 MDMA tablets, prescription medication, and drug paraphernalia.

The man was taken to Auburn Police Station and charged with supply prohibited drug (commercial quantity) and supply prohibited drug (large commercial quantity).

He was refused bail and appeared at Burwood Local Court, where he was formally refused bail to re-appear at the same court on Wednesday 4 March 2020.

About 6.30am last Thursday (12 December 2019), a search warrant was executed with the assistance of the Public Order and Riot Squad at a unit in Zetland.

During the search, police seized more than $30,000 cash, a stolen motorbike, mobile phones, and heroin.

A 30-year-old man was arrested at the property and taken to Mascot Police Station.

The man, who is a former Rebels OMCG member, was charged with supply prohibited drug (indicatable quantity x7), supply unregistered firearm- prohibited firearm, supply prohibited drug (commercial quantity), deal with property proceeds of crime, and goods suspected stolen in premises.

He was refused bail and appeared at Central Local Court, where he was formally refused bail to re-appear at the same court on Tuesday 11 February 2020.

Just before 6.30pm (Thursday 12 December 2019), Strike Force Raptor attended a home at Werrington and arrested a 51-year-old man.

A short time later, a crime scene warrant was executed at the home, where police seized a loaded .357 Smith and Wesson 6-shot revolver, assorted calibres of ammunition, fraudulent documents, mobile phones and clothing.

The man, who is a former Comanchero OMCG member, was taken to Penrith Police Station and charged with supply unregistered – prohibited firearm, possess unauthorised pistol, possess unregistered pistol, not keep pistol safely, possess ammunition, and four counts of supply prohibited drug.

He was refused bail and appeared at Penrith Local Court, where he was formally refused bail to re-appear at the same court on Friday 7 February 2020.

As part of the broader investigation into the activities of criminal networks, Criminal Groups Squad detectives, assisted by the Rescue and Bomb Disposal Unit and the Dog Unit, executed two search warrants at properties at Marsden Park and Windsor Downs about 6am last Friday (13 December 2019).

During the searches, police seized a Glock 17 pistol, an MP15 rifle, a loaded Marlin brand rifle, ammunition, almost $315,000 cash, and a ballistic vest.

Officers from the Drug and Firearms Squad’s Chemical Operations Unit processed chemicals, glassware, and other items used in the manufacture of prohibited drugs and seized 120L of meth oil.

Detectives also seized a stolen Audi Q2, a stolen Mercedes Benz UNIMOG, a stolen Range Rover, Toyota Hilux ‘Rugged’ vehicle with fraudulent Victorian registration plates, and a stolen Hamm roller.

Investigators from the Financial Crimes Squad’s Motor Unit also assisted during the searches after officers located numerous other vehicles and a caravan, suspected to be stolen and/or rebirthed.

About 3.30pm, Criminal Groups Squad detectives conducted a safe storage inspection at a home at Kurrajong, and after identifying breaches, suspended firearms licences of a 28-year-old man and a 56-year-old man and seized a total of 14 registered firearms.

Criminal Groups Squad detectives conducted further inquiries and arrested a 28-year-old Kurrajong man at a hotel at Rouse Hill about 7.15pm yesterday (Tuesday 17 December 2019).

The man, who is an associate of the Hells Angels OMCG, was taken to Castle Hill Police Station and charged with supply prohibited drug (large commercial quantity), possess unauthorised prohibited firearm, possess unauthorised pistol, knowingly deal with proceeds of crime, destroy property in company use fire, and two counts of aggravated break and enter commit serious indictable offence.

He has been refused bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court today (Wednesday 18 December 2019).
