NSW police charge four over aggravated robbery

Police have charged four teens as part of an investigation into an aggravated robbery at Darling Harbour earlier this month.

About 12.50am on Sunday 1 March 2020, police responded to reports three males had been assaulted and robbed by a group of up to 20 males at Darling Harbour.

Officers from Sydney City Police Area Command attended and established a crime scene, which was examined by specialist forensic officers, while local detectives commenced an investigation.

As part of inquiries, detectives executed search warrants at homes at Kellyville Ridge, Quakers Hill, Rouse Hill, Kings Langley and Cattai yesterday (Thursday 25 March 2020), and arrested five youths.

Three 17-year-old boys from Kellyville Ridge, Quakers Hill and Cattai, and a 16-year-old boy from Rouse Hill were all charged in relation to the incident.

All four have been granted conditional bail and are due to appear at a children’s court on Thursday 4 June 2020.

A fifth teenager – a 16-year-old from Kings Langley – will be dealt with under the Young Offenders Act.

The latest arrests bring the total to 10 people who have been charged in relation to the incident.

Investigations are continuing.
