A man has been charged following an investigation into the serious assault of a woman in Darling Harbour earlier this month.
About 3am on Sunday 13 March 2022, a 27-year-old woman attended Surry Hills Police Station to report an incident at a licensed premises that left her with a head injury.
The woman told police she was seated at a nightclub on Lime Street, Sydney, about 9.30pm on Saturday 12 March 2022, when she was hit by a glass.
Officer attached to Sydney City Police Area Command commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Following extensive inquiries and an appeal for information, a 20-year-old man attended Day Street Police Station yesterday afternoon (Tuesday 22 March 2022), where he was arrested and charged with reckless wounding.
The West Pymble man was granted conditional bail to appear before Downing Centre Local Court on Wednesday 13 April 2022.
