NSW police charge man after sexual acts committed in public at Bondi Junction

A man has appeared in court charged after allegedly committing sexual acts in Bondi Junction earlier this week.

Police will allege in court that a man got off a bus at Bondi Junction about 10.30am on Tuesday (17 December 2019), and walked along Oxford Street exposing himself and committing sexual acts.

At the time, the footpath was heavily crowded with shoppers, including children.

The man entered a store on Bronte Road and took a coffee without paying.

Officers from Eastern Suburbs Police Area Command were notified and following inquiries, a 31-year-old man was arrested at Kings Cross yesterday (Wednesday 18 December 2019).

He was taken to Kings Cross Police Station, where he was charged with carry out sexual act with another without consent, intentionally do sexual act with child between 10 and 16 years old, and larceny.

The man appeared at Central Local Court today (Thursday 19 December 2019) where he was formally refused bail to appear at Waverley Local Court on Wednesday 29 January 2020.
