NSW police charge man for robbery in company after appeal- Homebush West

A man will appear in court today charged over an alleged robbery in Homebush West last month.

About 1.30am on Wednesday 22 July 2020, officers from Auburn Police Area Command were called to a home in Courallie Avenue, Homebush West, after reports two men entered a home, demanded money.

A 33-year-old man was allegedly threatened with a knife and assaulted, before the men took his car keys and left in the man’s car.

Detectives commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

After a public appeal for information, about 3am today (Friday 21 August 2020), officers were called to licenced premises on Burwood Road, Burwood, and arrested a 57-year-old Mortdale man.

The man was taken to Burwood Police Station and was charged with robbery in company.

He was refused bail to appear before Burwood Local Court today (Friday 21 August 2020).
