NSW police charge man over eight outstanding warrants at Albury

A man will face court today after being arrested over eight outstanding warrants in the Murray River region.

Following extensive inquiries, officers attached to Murray River Police District executed a search at a home on Fairview Drive, North Albury, about 1.30pm yesterday (Tuesday 3 August 2021).

Police located a 31-year-old man hiding in a locked bedroom.

He was arrested at the scene and taken to Albury Police Station where he was charged with the outstanding warrants for domestic violence-related offences including common assault – domestic violence, break and enter commit serious indictable offence – armed, stalk/intimidate intend fear, possesses prohibited weapon and drive whilst disqualified.

Police will allege the offences occurred last month and this month in and around the Albury area.

He was refused bail to appear in Albury Local Court today (Wednesday 4 August 2021).
