Police have charged a man over the alleged intimidation of two passengers travelling on a train in the Sydney CBD earlier this year, following a public appeal for information.
About 6.15pm (Friday 22 October 2021), a man allegedly intimidated two male passengers travelling on a train between Martin Place and Town Hall.
Officers attached to the North/Central Police Transport Command were notified and commenced an investigation into the incident.
Following extensive investigations, and a public appeal for information, officers arrested a 55-year-old man at a home at Bankstown about 7.30am yesterday (Wednesday 1 December 2021).
He was taken to Bankstown Police Station and charged with two counts of stalk/intimidate intend fear physical harm and not wear fitted face covering public transport waiting area.
The man was granted conditional bail and is due to appear at Bankstown Local Court on Thursday 23 December 2021.
