NSW police charge man with drug supply and graffiti offences

Police have charged a man over the alleged supply of prohibited drugs uncovered following inquiries into graffiti offences on the state’s Mid North Coast.

About 8.15pm on Monday 9 August 2021, officers attached to the Mid North Coast Proactive Crime Team received reports of three men graffitiing in Port Macquarie.

Following inquiries, officers stopped a Nissan Navara on Ocean Drive, Lake Cathie, and spoke with the 18-year-old male driver.

In a subsequent search of the vehicle, police seized spray cans and a mobile phone.

The driver was released pending further inquiries.

About 8.30am today (Wednesday 29 December 2021), the man was arrested at Port Macquarie Police Station and charged with 12 offences;

  • Intentionally mark premises etc without prescribed consent,
  • supply prohibited drug (x9),
  • supply prohibited drugs on an ongoing basis, and,
  • supply prohibited drug (indictable quantity).

The Port Macquarie man was granted strict conditional bail to appear at Port Macquarie Local Court on Wednesday 9 February 2022.
