A man has been charged over the alleged murder of another man at Rushcutters Bay yesterday.
About 1.50pm (Wednesday 12 May 2021), emergency services were called to an apartment block on Kings Cross Road, following reports of an assault.
Officers from Kings Cross Police Area Command attended, along with NSW Ambulance paramedics, and found a man unresponsive in a basement parking area.
Paramedics treated the man, aged 39, before he was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital and died a short time later.
Following inquiries, a 42-year-old man was arrested at the scene and taken to Kings Cross Police Station.
He was transferred to hospital under police guard for observation, before being taken back to the police station and charged with murder.
The man was refused bail and will appear in the Central Local Court today (Thursday 13 May 2021).
