NSW police charge man with peep and pry at Wagga Wagga

A man will face court next week charged with peep and pry offences.

Police were called to a home in Mount Austin on Monday 15 June 2020, following reports a man was peering into the window of a home.

On arrival, officers from Riverina Police District allegedly found a man hiding on the veranda. The man fled on foot and jumped over the fences of multiple neighbouring properties before being apprehended.

He allegedly punched a police officer during the arrest, before he was arrested and taken to Wagga Wagga Police Station.

The 34-year-old man was charged with peep or pry, enter inclosed land not prescribed premises without lawful excuse and resist officer in execution of duty.

Following extensive inquiries, the man was also charged with remain in building with intent to commit indictable offence and stalk/intimidate intend fear physical etc harm.

The man was refused bail and is due to appear in Wagga Wagga Local Court on Monday 29 June 2020.
