NSW police charge man with sexual touching of teenage boy

A man has been charged after allegedly sexually touching a teenage boy on the Central Coast yesterday.

About 2pm on Sunday 1 December 2019, two teenage boys – aged 15 and 13 – were walking through bushland near a shopping centre on Bay Village Road, Bateau Bay, when a man approached them.

It’s alleged the older man touched the younger boy inappropriately before the teenager ran away and notified family members.

The boy’s father attended the scene and detained the man until police arrived.

Officers from Tuggerah Lakes Police District attended and arrested the 53-year-old man.

He was taken to Wyong Police Station where he was charged with intentionally sexually touch child and refused bail to appear at Wyong Local Court today (Monday 2 December 2019).
