NSW police charge two after drugs and cash valued at $53,000 seized at Dubbo

A man and woman will face court after police seized $17,000 in cash and $36,000 worth of drugs following a search warrant in the state’s Central West at the weekend.

About 8.30pm on Saturday (12 March 2022), officers attached to Orana Mid-Western Police District executed a search warrant at a home in Linda Drive, Dubbo.

Police located and seized $17,000 in cash, white crystal substance believed to be methylamphetamine, mobile phones, suboxone strips and drug paraphernalia.

The methylamphetamine has an estimated potential street value of approximately $36.000.

Following enquiries, about 4.30pm yesterday (Tuesday 15 March 2022), officers attended a motel on Whylandra Street, Dubbo, to speak with a man and woman.

Upon arrival the man attempted to flee the location on foot and was arrested a short time later. The woman was also arrested. Both were taken to Dubbo Police Station.

The 38-year-old man was charged with two counts of supply prohibited drug, deal with property proceeds of crime and owner/occupier knowingly allow use as drug premises.

He was refused bail to appear at Dubbo Local Court today (Wednesday 16 March 2022).

The 23-year-old woman was charged with owner/occupier knowingly allow use as drug premises and possess prohibited drug.

She was given conditional bail to appear at Dubbo Local Court on Wednesday 27 April 2022.
