NSW police charge woman after drugs found in car

A woman will appear in court today after she was allegedly found with MDMA and methylamphetamine in Sydney’s south-west today.

About 1.50am (Thursday 18 June 2020), police were patrolling Rockford Road in Tahmoor, near Picton, when they approached a parked Mitsubishi Lancer.

Officers from Camden Police Area Command spoke to the driver, a 21-year-old woman, and her sole passenger, a 21-year-old man, before searching the car.

Police allegedly found about 32 grams of MDMA and 3.5 grams of methylamphetamine in resealable bags, as well as a small amount of cash.

The pair were arrested and taken to Narellan Police Station.

The woman was charged with indictable supply of MDMA, supply small quantity of methylamphetamine, and deal with proceeds of crime.

She was refused bail and is due to appear in Campbelltown Local Court today (Thursday 18 June 2020).

Following further inquiries, the man was released without charged.
