NSW police charge woman after pedestrian struck

Police have charged a woman with dangerous and negligent driving after a pedestrian was struck at Good Street, Harris Park yesterday.

About 3pm on Sunday 23 February 2020, the man was hit by an SUV driven by a 52-year-old woman as he was walking north on the footpath across Good Street Bridge.

The man suffered critical injuries and was taken to Westmead Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.

Police from the Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit attended the scene and commenced an investigation.

The 52-year-old woman was charged with dangerous and negligent driving causing grievous bodily harm.

She was granted bail to appear before Parramatta Local Court on Tuesday 17 March 2020.
