NSW police investigate death of dog

Police are appealing for public assistance as investigations continue into the death of a dog in Sydney’s west last month.

About 11pm on Sunday 28 June 2020, a motorist found an injured dog on the corner of Silverdale and Elton roads at Silverdale.

The dog, a two-year-old Kelpie cross, had multiple injuries and her muzzle had been taped shut.

The motorist took her to a nearby vet; however, she died before arriving.

Officers from Nepean Police Area Command are continuing to investigate the matter and are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

In particular, officers would like to speak with the driver of a white late-model Toyota Hilux who was seen in the area at the time the dog was located.

Anyone with information about this incident is urged to contact Crime Stoppers: 1800 333 000 or https://nsw.crimestoppers.com.au. Information is treated in strict confidence.
