An investigation is underway after the death of a baby boy today in Sydney’s south-west.
About 4.40pm (Thursday 20 May 2021), emergency services responded to reports of a concern for welfare at a house in Seaborn Avenue, Oran Park.
Upon arrival, officers attached to Camden Police Area Command found a baby boy, 6 months old, unconscious and unresponsive.
The infant was given CPR at the scene by paramedics before being taken to Campbelltown Hospital, however, was unable to be revived.
A woman was arrested at the scene and taken to Camden Police Station which she is currently assisting with inquiries.
A crime scene has been established. Investigations are underway into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
