Oakes Oval will come to life with Christmas carols, family fun and festive entertainment when Beach and Bush Distributors Carols in the Heart 2026 takes place on Sunday, 6 December.
Proudly supported by naming rights sponsor Beach and Bush Distributors, this year’s event will feature a packed program of entertainment from 4pm, with families invited to sing along to much-loved Christmas favourites before enjoying a spectacular fireworks finale.
Lismore City Mayor Steve Krieg said the event was a highlight of the city’s Christmas celebrations.
“Carols in the Heart is a fantastic opportunity for families and friends to come together, enjoy great entertainment and celebrate Christmas,” Mayor Krieg said.
“It’s wonderful to see so many schools, performers and community groups involved, and we’re grateful to Beach and Bush Distributors and everyone helping make this event possible.”
The lineup includes Pink Zinc and the Cath Simes Band, alongside JC Dance, Powerhouse Performing Arts and the Northern Rivers Conservatorium.
Students from Summerland Christian College, Richmond River High School, Trinity Catholic College and St Carthage’s Primary School will also take to the stage.
Council is working alongside churches, performing arts groups and community organisations to deliver the event, bringing together a wide range of performers and community partners.
Beach and Bush Distributors Branch Manager Philip Hyde said the business was proud to support the event and give back to the community.
“Beach and Bush Distributors Carols in the Heart is all about bringing our community together to celebrate close to home,” Mr Hyde said.
“We’re proud to support an event where families can enjoy a great night out, celebrate Christmas and create lasting memories. Sponsoring events like this is also a great way for businesses to give back to the community that supports them and help make more of these celebrations possible.”
The festive celebrations will also include opportunities to win Loving Local Gift Cards as part of Council’s Christmas Shop Local campaign, encouraging residents to support businesses across the region this Christmas.
Council’s upcoming campaign will feature a limited-time Loving Local Gift Card promotion, where residents can purchase a $50 gift card and receive an additional $50 in value free. Numbers will be strictly limited, with gift cards available on a first in, first served basis.
Residents are encouraged to follow Council’s social media channels for details of the promotion and further Christmas announcements.
Families and visitors are invited to bring a picnic rug and enjoy an evening of carols, performances and festive entertainment at Oakes Oval.
