NSW police investigating after pedestrian struck at Auburn

An investigation is underway after a pedestrian was struck by a car in Sydney’s west overnight.

About 11pm (Monday 24 February 2020), emergency services were called to Mary Street, Auburn, following reports a pedestrian had been struck by a car.

On arrival, officers from Auburn Police Area Command located a 73-year-old woman with injuries to her legs.

She was taken to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition.

A crime scene was established and officers from the Crash Investigation Unit are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Initial inquiries suggest the vehicle, not further described, did not stop to render assistance to the woman.

Any witnesses or anyone with dashcam or CCTV vision of the incident is urged to come forward.
