NSW police release images in appeal over attempted murder

St George detectives have released an image of a man who they believe may be able to assist with their investigation into the attempted murder of a man earlier this year.

About 4am on Saturday 11 January 2020, a 24-year-old man suffering stab wounds arrived at St George Hospital in a critical condition.

Inquiries indicate the man had been stabbed multiple times at a unit complex in Bay Street, Brighton Le Sands, and drove himself to hospital.

Officers from St George Police Area Command established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Strike Force Alawai was established and following extensive inquiries, investigators have now released images of a man who they believe may be able to assist with their inquiries.

He is described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, about 175cm tall, of large build with black hair, a beard and brown eyes.
