NSW police seek information after house destroyed in suspicious fire at Albury

Police are appealing for information from the public after a house was destroyed by fire in the state’s Murray River region at the weekend.

Emergency services were called to a vacant building on Wignell Road, Table Top, following reports of a fire about 9.20pm on Saturday 8 January 2022.

Firefighters from Fire and Rescue NSW and NSW Rural Fire Service extinguished the blaze, which destroyed the property.

No injuries were reported.

Officers attached to Murray River Police District established a crime scene and have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

While the cause of the fire is yet to be determined, it is being treated as suspicious.
