NSW police seek information after man assaulted in CBD

Police are appealing for assistance to identify those responsible for the assault of a man in Sydney’s CBD, which has left him hospitalised this morning.

The 29-year-old man was walking along Pitt Street about 2.20am (Thursday 17 December 2020), when he was confronted by a group of up to six men, who were seen kicking the man on the ground.

Emergency services were called to the scene and found the man with cuts to his right arm, an injury to his head and lacerations to his legs; he’s in a serious but stable condition in St Vincent’s Hospital.

Officers from Sydney City Police Area Command have established a crime scene and are appealing for anyone with information about the circumstances leading up to the man’s assault – or those responsible – to call police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
