NSW police seek information after man found unconscious at Bankstown

Police are seeking assistance from the public after a man was found with serious injuries on a roadway in Sydney’s south west yesterday.

About 3.20pm (Wednesday 12 January 2022), emergency services were called to the intersection of Calidore Street and Canterbury Road, Bankstown, where they found an unknown man bleeding from a cut to his chin and other facial injuries.

The 70-year-old was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in a serious condition.

Officers attached to Bankstown Police Area Command commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Police have described the man as being of Indian/Sub-continental appearance, about 170cm tall, of slim build, with short grey hair. At the time, he was wearing a grey shirt with a yellow high-viz vest, beige cargo pants and black shoes.
