NSW police seek witnesses of fail-to-stop crash at Windsor

Police are appealing for two motorists to come forward as investigations continue into a fail-to-stop crash where a woman was left with serious head injuries in Windsor last week.

About 4.50am on Friday 20 September 2019, a 38-year-old woman was walking west across Macquarie Street, in the vicinity of Pizza Hut, Red Rooster and Hawkesbury Honda Motorcycles.

Two vehicles slowed and steered around her and continued on. A third vehicle struck her and failed to stop and assist.

The woman was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to hospital in a critical but stable condition.

Officers from Hawkesbury Police Area Command attended and established a crime scene, which was examined by the Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit.

Police arrested and spoke with a man, who has since been released pending further inquiries.

Investigators are now appealing for two motorists who were in the area between 4.30am and 5am on Friday, to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
