A police operation is currently underway at a unit on Punt Road, Gladesville.
About 11.20am today (Tuesday 2 November 2021) an officer who was responding to a domestic violence incident nearby received lacerations to the back of his head from a knife. He has been taken to hospital for treatment.
Police negotiators are currently at the scene.
As the operation is ongoing, no further information is available at this stage.
