NSW police update: Two critically injured after shooting at Blackheath

Investigations continue following a shooting in Blackheath early this morning where two men suffered gunshot wounds.

Emergency services were called to a home on Connaught Road, just before 4.30am (Friday 13 December 2019), following reports of possible shots fired.

Officers from Blue Mountains Police Area Command attended and found two men, aged 25 and 31, suffering gunshot wounds.

The younger man was treated for a wound to his lower back and the older man for a wound to his torso.

Both men have been taken to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition.

Police are looking for two males who attended the home and were seen fleeing following the altercation with the two injured men.

A crime scene remains in place while investigations continue into the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

Initial inquiries suggest the shooting may have been targeted.
