Around 7am, Saturday 13 June, the Joint Emergency Services Communication Centre received reports that a male had slipped and fallen from the cliff and could be heard calling for help.
Emergency services attended the scene, and the 27-year-old male was located at the bottom of the cliff approximately 10 metres down.
NTES quickly established vertical rescue operations, and the male was safely retrieved from the cliff bottom before being conveyed to hospital by St John Ambulance for treatment.
Deputy Chief Officer Adam White said, “Our NTES volunteers dedicate countless hours to maintaining specialist rescue capabilities, and this incident demonstrates the value of that commitment to the Territory community.
“Together with other emergency crews, this man was able to be rescued safely and efficiently.”
