NT History Grants now open for applications

The Territory Labor Government is putting money on the table to help local history buffs explore treasures from our past.

Grants of up to $7000 are available to researchers who can bring the Territory’s yesteryear to life, with the NT History Grants Program now open for applications.

The program supports original research on Northern Territory history that broadens community understanding of, and engagement with, the Library and Archives NT’s collections.

Territory residents, societies, and community organisations are eligible to apply for the grants for assistance with expenses such as:

travel and accommodation;costs associated with printing and publication such as editing fees, design costs, copyright, and licensing fees;incidental research fees;reproduction charges; andinterview fees.

Previous projects have included books, guides, radio programs, films, plays, websites, and oral history interviews.
