NYE – Darwin Waterfront

NT Government

Kicking off from 5pm, the free family-friendly event will feature local musicians The Corbs, Liv Heyer, Melanie Gray Duo, Bob Fleet Orchestra, Stereobate, Viny Candy and Max Fredericks, before the night rounds out with DJ Patty Holiday from 9pm until midnight.

Two spectacular firework displays will light up the sky at 9pm and midnight, accompanied by three showcases of a New Year’s themed Liquid Light, and neon fairies will excite and entertain the kids throughout the evening.

Darwin Waterfront Corporation Chief Executive Officer, Alastair Shields, said New Year’s Eve would be an exciting new experience for patrons, offering a variety of entertainment and activities.

“This event will be unlike any other New Year’s Eve we’ve had before, bringing a world-class installation to the Waterfront and combining this spectacular showcase of water and light with fantastic local talent,” Mr Shields said.

“We know that what’s most important to our community is celebrating with friends and family, and we’ve developed an event that allows people to do that all while enjoying terrific entertainment in a picturesque location.”

In addition to the free festivities, Darwin Waterfront restaurants will host their own New Year’s Eve events, providing the opportunity for patrons to elevate their evening while still enjoying the fireworks and Liquid Light displays.

Stokes Hill Wharf will also remain open on the night, providing the perfect location for those wanting to escape the bustle of the Waterfront, while still enjoying live music, the fireworks and great local food.
