Police can confirm one person has died following a crash in Waimauku on Thursday morning.
Emergency services responded to the single-vehicle crash on State Highway 16, near McPike Road, around 6.22am.
One person was transported to hospital in a critical condition however sadly died in hospital on Thursday afternoon.
Police extend their condolences to their family and friends at this difficult time.
The death will be referred to the Coroner.
