Police can confirm one person has died following a fatal crash in Te Puke.
Another person has been transported to hospital in a serious condition.
The intersection of Strang Road and Te Puke Highway is closed while an investigation is underway.
There are diversions in place at the scene.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
