Off-duty police officer detected drink driving in Beaconsfield

An off-duty police officer was allegedly detected drink driving in Beaconsfield on Thursday evening.

The 36-year-old female officer from eastern region entered a booze bus site on O’Shea Road about 10.40pm on Thursday, 26 June.

The officer underwent a preliminary breath test, returning a positive result.

She underwent an evidentiary breath test, returning an alleged reading of .085.

She was issued a penalty notice and has had her licence suspended for six months.

Professional Standards Command have been notified as is standard practice.
