About 4am, unknown offenders gained entry to a shed at a home on Vermont Approach and stole nine off-road motorcycles.
The occupants were awoken by the sound of engine noise and discovered the bikes were missing.
Police attended a short time later and located seven of the stolen motorcycles abandoned in nearby streets and a local park.
Two stolen motorcycles, both described as blue Yamaha 125cc off-road motorcycles, remain outstanding.
Investigators are appealing for anyone who saw any suspicious activity or vehicles in the area from about 2am onwards, or who has CCTV, mobile phone or dash-cam vision from the Hocking area around that time, to upload it via the Community Portal: https://wapf.au.evidence.com/axon/communityrequest/public/0508260430178…
Police remind the community to exercise caution when advertising high-value items online. Offenders can use online marketplaces and social media platforms to identify valuable property or obtain residential addresses under the guise of arranging inspections or purchases.
Owners of off-road motorcycles are encouraged to secure garages and sheds, avoid sharing photographs or information online that may reveal where valuable items are stored, and register their motorcycles at www.bikelinc.com.au to assist police in identifying and returning recovered stolen property.
