Annabel Sutherland registered Australia’s fastest-ever women’s Test hundred when she brought up her maiden international century on Day 2 after Ellyse Perry was dismissed agonisingly close to her third Test hundred on 99.
Kim Garth was presented with her Baggy Green by former Victorian legend Mel Jones before play on Day 1 and took her first Test wicket on Day 4. Garth made her international debut for Ireland as a 14-year-old before moving to Australia to take up a full-time Victorian contract in 2020.
Garth has now completed the set, representing Australia in Test, One Day and T20 cricket since her move.
Scott Boland played an important role in Australia winning the World Test Championship Final over India at The Oval earlier this month and took two wickets in the first Ashes Test.
Marcus Harris, Todd Murphy and Georgia Wareham are also part of Australia’s Ashes squads in England.
Nicole Faltum and Tayla Vlaeminck have been part of Australia A’s campaign against England A in a series running alongside the Women’s Ashes.
Vlaeminck impressed in her return to the bowling crease in the second T20, taking the first wicket of the match.
Tess Flintoff has also been around the Australian Test squad, named as a sub-fielder for the ongoing Test match.
Outside of international cricket, Glenn Maxwell (Birmingham) and Peter Siddle (Somerset) have both been playing in the Vitality Blast.
Siddle faces a stint on the sidelines after a hand injury and finger fracture earlier this month.
Will Pucovski (Weybridge Cricket Club) and Jono Merlo (Guildford Cricket Club) are both playing English club cricket in the Surrey Championship.
Both batters had registered hundreds in the early stages of the season, while Merlo has also taken 17 wickets in his first seven matches.
In Australia, Wil Parker is representing the City Cyclones in Darwin’s Strike League under former Victorian great Darren Berry as Head Coach.
The remainder of the squad kicked off their official pre-season at the start of June, training out of the CitiPower Centre.
In exciting news, Nic Maddinson has now started running after rupturing his ACL during the BBL in January.
