A serving officer has been charged over an alleged on-duty assault last year.
The Law Enforcement Conduct Commission conducted an investigation in relation to the arrest of a 16-year-old boy at Byron Bay in January 2018.
On Wednesday 23 October 2019, a Future Court Attendance Notice was issued to an officer for the offence of common assault.
He is due to face Byron Bay Local Court on Monday 2 December 2019.
