A serving police officer has been charged over an alleged incident last year.
Officers from Northern Region have been investigating an incident in August 2018 where it’s alleged intimate images were unlawfully distributed.
A 43-year-old male sergeant, attached to a Northern Region specialist command, was issued a Future Court Attendance Notice, for the offence of publish intimate image without consent.
He is expected to face Coffs Harbour Local Court on Tuesday 10 September 2019.
The officer has been suspended from duty since February 2019 in regards to this incident.
