A police officer has been issued a court attendance notice for a driving offence in the state’s south.
About 10.35am today (Saturday 24 August 2024), an off-duty senior constable attached to the Southern Region, was stopped by police while driving on the Sturt Highway, Forest Hill.
Checks revealed the man’s licence was suspended.
The 31-year-old man was issued a field court attendance notice for driving while suspended.
He is due to appear at Wagga Wagga Local Court on Wednesday 30 October 2024.
The officer’s employment status is under review.
