A police officer has been charged over alleged misconduct offences.
In February 2022, Strike Force Gingham was established by the Professional Standards Command to investigate reports of misconduct alleged to have occurred between 2021 and 2022.
Following inquiries, a female sergeant attached to the Southern Region, was issued a court attendance notice on Tuesday 5 December 2023 for the offences make false document and six counts of use false document.
The officer is due to appear before Wollongong Local Court on Tuesday 16 January 2024.
