Officers chargesin Brisbane region

Two male senior constables from Brisbane Region have been charged following allegations of excessive force against a man being held in police custody.

Ethical Standard Command launched an investigation into the incident which occurred in Ashgroveon August 3, 2022.

The officers, aged 59 and 51, have both been charged with one count of assault occasioning bodily harm and are due to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on October 10, 2022.

The officers have been stood down from duty with the Queensland Police Service.
