Work is beginning this week on Cross Street at Old Bar that will cause minor disruption for motorists.
A detour will be in place using Clarke and David Streets and Old Bar Road.
Access to residential and business properties will be maintained where possible but there may be some restrictions during different earthworks and construction stages. This project is expected to be complete by the end of August.
Work on Waterman Street, also in Old Bar, is expected to begin on 6 August and finish by the end of September. Again, a detour will be in place for traffic using Sheppard and Belford Streets and Medowie Road.
Best efforts will be made to retain access to residential and business properties, however there may be some restrictions in place during different stages of the work.
Both of these projects will improve safety, improve road conditions, provide smoother driving, better drainage and all around more reliable infrastructure for the community.
