OMCG arrest at Gold Coast 18 June

Police have charged a 28-year-old man and member of the Mongols OMCG with drug offences.

Detectives from Taskforce Maxima executed a search warrant this morning on a unit in Biggera Waters. As a result of the search police located cocaine, steroids and drug related equipment.

The 28-year-old man, allegedly the current President of the Mongols OMCG Surfers Paradise chapter, was charged with two counts of possession of dangerous drugs and possession of utensils used with dangerous drugs.

He is due to appear in Southport Magistrates Court today.

Officer in Charge of Taskforce Maxima, for the South East Region, Detective Senior Sergeant Troy Lehmann, said these criminals remain firmly in police sights and we will continue taking all available actions to keep the community safe.

“We take crimes of this nature seriously and we will continue targeting and disrupting OMCG members, whether they are a probationary or a senior office bearer,” Detective Senior Sergeant Lehmann said.
