OMCG arrest in South Eastern Region, QLD

Detectives from Taskforce Maxima have arrested and charged a member of the Hells Angels Outlaw Motorcycle Gang (OMCG) with assault related offences following two alleged incidents that occurred in November.

It will be alleged the man was involved in a public fight with eight other people that occurred at a business along Distillery Road, Beenleigh around 8.45am on Saturday November 4.

The group dispersed and no assault complaint was forthcoming. The matter was reported to police on December 8.

It will be further alleged the man was linked to the unprovoked assault of four teenagers at Springfield Lakes that occurred shortly after midnight on November 25.

The man allegedly punched four teens aged between 16 and 19 before damaging two nearby vehicles with a baseball bat.

Upon arrival of police, the man had left the scene.

Following investigations by detectives from Taskforce Maxima South Eastern Region, a 28-year-old Augustine Heights man was located and arrested at a Springfield Lakes address on December 9.

He has been charged with one count of affray relating to the first incident and four counts of assault occasioning bodily harm, two counts of wilful damage and one count of going armed so as to cause fear.

He has been denied police bail and is expected to appear at Beenleigh Magistrates Court today.
