OMCG member and associate charged over armed robbery in Southport, QLD

Police have charged an Outlaw Motorcycle Gang (OMCG) member and associate over the alleged armed robbery of a Southport home last Friday (October 15).

It will be alleged that around 7.25pm, four men attended an address on Lilli Pilli Drive in a black SUV and forced entry by breaking the front door.

The men were allegedly armed with what appeared to be firearms and threatened the 24-year-old female occupant, before stealing a jewellery box containing a quantity of jewellery and mobile phone, then leaving in the vehicle.

Subsequent investigations lead police to execute a search warrant at an address at Ursula Court at Springwood around 9am yesterday, where an 18-year-old associate of the ‘Comancheros’ OMCG was arrested.

Later that afternoon, police executed another search warrant at an address on Nicholls Drive, Redbank Plains, which lead officers to attend a Crestmead business where a 19-year-old man member of the ‘Finks’ OMCG was arrested.

The 18-year-old Springwood man and 19-year-old Redbank Plains man have now both been charged with one count each of enter dwelling with intent and armed robbery.

Both are scheduled to appear at the Southport Magistrates Court today (Wednesday October 20).

Investigations continue.
