WorkSafe Month has moved online for 2020, and it has proven extremely popular, with thousands of people registering for online webinars so far.

The online delivery has been necessary due to COVID-19, but has resulted in an increased reach for the event, which has been a long-running initiative of the WorkCover Tasmania Board.

Interstate and international participants have been among the 3,771 registrations for the 36 available webinars, including people from Russia, India and the USA.

To date, the dedicated WorkSafe Month website has received more than 25,000 page views and 5,514 individual visitors from around the world including the USA, the UK, Finland, China, Singapore and Kenya.

So far 1,526 people have attended one of the 22 live webinars hosted by WorkSafe Tasmania focusing on the theme ‘Safe Bodies, Safe Minds’, which acknowledges the importance of physical and mental health and wellbeing at work.

Feedback from the sessions has been very positive with participants commenting favourably on the engaging presenters, simple tips and resources provided, as well as the opportunity to catch up with webinar recordings on WorkSafe Tasmania’s YouTube page and learn without leaving the workplace.

WorkSafe Month runs until 30 October 2020. To register for a webinar or online training event please visit https://www.worksafetasmonth.com.au/
