Opening from today: Energy Efficiency Grants for Small and Medium Sized Enterprises

Dept of Climate Change, Energy, Environment & Water

Starting today, businesses can now apply for $10,000 to $25,000 grants in Round 2 of the Australian Government’s Energy Efficiency Grants for Small and Medium Sized Enterprises program.

Applications will open in a staggered approach across states and territories over 5 consecutive business days, to give applicants ease of access to the Business Grants Hub portal. You must apply in the application round for the state or territory where your grant project will be physically located. Visit the Business Grants Hub portal to find out when applications open for your state or territory.

Grants will be awarded to eligible applicants in order of application receipt in each state and territory. Applications may close early if all allocated funds for Round 2 are exhausted, so businesses are encouraged to submit their applications as soon as possible.

Up to $41.2 million in funding will be available in Round 2 of the Energy Efficiency Grants for Small and Medium Sized Enterprises.

Grants are available for a range of energy efficiency activities, including:

  • improving space and water heating systems
  • energy audits
  • installing energy monitoring systems
  • upgrading or replacing inefficient technologies.
